Once a motion is passsed by laity, clergy and epioscopal houses of the national / continenmtal synods of each state / rovince of teh Anglicxan church it is unliekly to be repealed. Hence The united Kingdom has women clergy since the mid 1990s.
However the episcopate is now being ratified. For those who are against that based on reading the Gospels and the Last Supper retold in them, some are considering joining the Roman Catholic church within the United Kingdoms four churches (England and Wales, Scotland and Ireland) as part of the ordinariate.
